Required Textbook: The Riot and the Dance: Foundational Biology

Course Description: We will be utilizing Journey Homeschool Academy’s Experience Biology video course which can be explored here. Biology is a lab-based course which engages students in scientific practices with the goal of increasing students' understanding of life science. Topics such as the flow of energy within and between organisms, genetics, ecosystems and the environment are explored through labs, textbook readings, outlines and research questions. 

Classroom Work: primarily consists of labs and group activities

Homework: videos, textbook readings, research questions, at home quizzes and tests

Lab fees: A required lab fee will be collected prior to the school year start.
